Doubleflank testing

How does it work?
Using this method requires a master gear meshing with the gear under test during operation. One axis is fixed, the other is moveable. A small force is applied to press both gears together. During rotaion, the change of the axis distance is recorded through a linear incremental encoder. This method is suitable for single gears, not for pairs of gears. Cycle time allows 100% testing in the production line.
